This term, Te Tinana students each planted a monstera seed. We watered them and watched them sprout and grow. We learnt about the care for houseplants, how to water them, feed them and clean them. We looked at many different plant care cards and then wrote our own Plant Care Cards. The students did an amazing job with theirs. Please have a look at the students individual blogs.
Welcome to our class blog! We are a class of year 2 and 3's at Paparore school in the Far North. Our teacher is Mrs Davan. Our blog is a place where we will share some of learning, adventures and experiences. Please follow along with our journey and share our blog with your whanau and friends. We would LOVE to receive your comments about our experiences. Thank you Te Tinana 2021

Dojo Spend Up
In Te Tinana, students earn dojo points for fabulous behaviour, completing their home learning and taking ownership of their learning. We had two dojo spend ups this week, a joint one with Te Manga and one on our own. The students enjoyed going outside for an extra play while other classes were back in class. They used the court for basketball, some player soccer, others were on the playground or in the sand pit. Such a great way to celebrate a great term of learning and fun.

Te Tinana and Te Manga Shared Lunch
To celebrate end of Term, Te Tinana and Te Manga had a shared lunch. There was so much food! It was more of a feast than a shared lunch. We had enough food to continue having a shared lunch the next day, with plenty of treats again on the Friday. Thank you to all our whanau that provided the delicious kai.

Our Pumpkin Patch
Today we checked on our Pumpkin plants to see how much they have grown. And man were we pleasantly surprised. Hopefully, we will start seeing flowers soon. We would love to make some pumpkin pie this winter.

Te Whare Tui me Te Whare Kuaka - Town Pools
Today the four senior classes went to the town pools! They endured blazing sun, howling wind and pouring rain (lucky no thunderstorms were present).
