Lockdown Week 2 Part 1

Wow, we have had a very busy week already. Two days down and the children are already sharing some amazing adventures, creations and learning that they have completed or participated in.  I want to take this time to thank all our whanau for being so proactive with their tamaraki. Not all learning happens while reading, writing, and counting. We learn by experimenting with different things, baking with whanau, going on walks, eeling, painting and so much more!

On Monday in our class Meet we had a special guest author join us. Whaea Karen is our facilitator at Waitangi Museum, where we participated in the Raranga Matihiko programme - weaving digital futures. Whaea Karen has written a couple of children's books, and on Monday, she came to our class Meet to read one of her books.

Of Course You Can!

On Tuesday, we played a game called "I went camping". This involves students knowing their alphabet and the order of it. Each child takes a turn adding one more thing we are taking on our camping trip, but it has to start with the next letter of the alpahbet. On top of that, I also have to remember what everyone else has already said! Quite a challenging game, but the tamariki did really well. Well done Te Tinana!
